The City of Vienna is offering vaccination campaigns in numerous municipal buildings starting next week. The goal is to offer the Corona vaccination to many tenants in an uncomplicated way. Vaccinations will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
Vaccination action starts in the Reumannhof
The prelude takes place in the Reumannhof in Margareten. Just under ten other municipal buildings are currently on the list, with more likely to be added, according to City Hall. Vaccination will take place on the respective days from 11:00 to 20:00.
Two vaccines are available: Individuals age 12 and older can be vaccinated with the Biontech/Pfizer product. In addition, adults can choose from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Interested persons do not need to register, they only need to bring a photo ID and, if available, an e-card. If a vaccination card is not available, a new one can be issued after the vaccination is completed. The second vaccination takes place in a municipal vaccination center.
Vienna relies on vaccinations in unusual places
For some time now, Vienna has been relying on immunization in rather unusual places. In addition, vaccinations have been and are being carried out in shopping malls, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and supermarkets. Nearly 50,000 persons could be motivated on this way to a Corona inoculation, one stresses in the office of health city councillor Peter Hacker (SPÖ).
